Here's a copy of the Press Release that went out last week.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE STORY THE ENGLISH CROWN DIDN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW AND STILL DOESN’T…NOW IN PAPERBACK
THE CAVALIER: a novel by Len d’Eon is the story of the Chevalier d’Eon
and why he was made to wear the dress of a woman for the rest of his life.

The CAVALIER by Len d’Eon is the story that reveals a long-held secret about the real heritage of the current Queen Elizabeth. That well-kept secret could have blown the lid off Buckingham Palace and ruined the English Royal family. It could have stopped the line of England’s royal succession. It could have stopped it cold. A must-read that didn’t make it to England with its G.P.Putnam’s Sons, New York, hardcover is now available at Amazon.com for all the world to see, thanks to the internet.

But does it matter? You betcha it matters. The lifestyle of an entire family from Queen Elizabeth to Prince Charles to Prince William (and even Fergie) could be drastically changed on a proverbial dime. In a heartbeat. The coffers of a family richer than Oprah, Ted Turner and Warren Buffett combined could be affected. Land holdings on London’s Publishers Row on Fleet Street and New York City’s Publishing buildings along with billions of English pounds, Euros, U.S.dollars and hidden Swiss francs would be forced back to their original owners. The anti-royalty forces of the world would unite, being given a new and valid argument to stop the unpopular “lifestyle of power-and-money-at-birth syndrome” that has been blocked by most civilized nations. Buckingham Palace (still called the Queen’s house), Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace and the rest of the collection would revert to its owners and become museums. In short, England would look more like what they once owned…. America. And more specifically, the United States of America. Yes. It does matter. To some at least.

Who was this guy? Who was this once French Ambassador to England…this Chevalier d’Eon? You might want to visit Washington D.C.’s International Spy Museum and take the elevator up to the second floor to see their video on his life as the Greatest Master Spy of all time.

But wait. There’s a positive side for the royal family….a positive side they’ll privately admit to, but never in public. The world knows of the nutty king who shook hands with a tree, the king with plum brandy eyes who was more than once seen in a straight-jacket, the king who was the real kook specifically mentioned in the Declaration of Independence as the bad guy of all bad guys. What was so positive about this episode for the Royal Family? When the chain of years of inbreeding stopped, lunacy stopped cold. Yes. It stopped with King George 3rd.

Why did the Chevalier wear the dress of a woman for the rest of his life?

“Because woman cannot impregnate woman…………………..” The words spoken to the Prince de Conti by the Count de Broglie in his home in Broglie, France. The year...1764

Welcome back.

Starting now, I’m gonna try to do a blog every week.

The most frequently asked question? And lately from Anime fans. Why did the Chevalier d’Eon wear the dress of a woman for the rest of his life? Was it his decision? If not, who ordered it?

The answer is simple. Louis 15th, King of France, gave in to the threat of war from England and after England's Queen Mom enthusiastically agreed to the idea, ordered it.

Why?

Because word was out in Europe’s newspapers that the Chevalier d’Eon, who was the French Ambassador to London, fathered the English Queen’s first two sons. The big deal was that they were in line to be King. Now that’s a big deal!!

The king’s mother tried everything to kill the story. There was a hit put on the Chevalier. He was shot but survived. In a trial in the court of Old Bailey on October 31st, 1763, it was ruled that Pierre Henri Treysac de Verge did shoot and try to assassinate d’Eon.

It really wasn’t a very good option anyway because those two sons would still be in direct line, whether the Chevalier was dead or alive.

The Queen mom then tried an interesting tactic. And it’s well documented. She tried to have the marriage to her son George 3rd to Charlotte of Mecklenburg annulled “because the words in the marriage ceremony were wrong”. They would have to remarry “with the right words”. (These were the Queen mom’s words. Not mine.) That didn’t work. When she threatened war again with France, that got the French King’s attention and he asked, maybe ordered is a better word, his trusted friends to find a solution both England and France could live with.

It was in France at the Count de Broglie’s home high up on a shelf on the side of a hill, in a meeting with the Prince de Conti, that a solution was found. And it was quite by chance. They were in a room next to a fireplace. Over it was the painting of a beautiful young woman called Lea de Beaumont. It was a painting of the Chevalier d’Eon in drag.

The painting had been commissioned by the the world’s first CIA equivalent called the King’s Secret. It was a “just in case” item. Just in case Le chevalier d’Eon was caught on a spy mission into Empress Elizabeth’s court in Russia. If the Chevalier had been caught, King Louis would have pulled out the painting to prove he knew this Lea de Beaumont but had no clue about this Chevalier d’Eon. Today, we’d call it “justifiable deniability”.

Sitting there in that room looking at the painting, they had the answer. Conti uttered that famous line. A line later heard around the world. “Because woman cannot impregnate woman, the Chevalier could not possibly be …….”.

And sent a message to England’s Queen mom who loved the idea. The painting was packed up and shipped to London where, in a news conference, it was unveiled. Conti’s words were reiterated. “Because woman cannot impregnate woman…………”

The Queen mom and the English Royal family were free from worries over line of succession.

And so it goes. Le Chevalier d’Eon was ridiculed in the English speaking world.

Whatever happened to the painting? It’s in the British museum. Way back in a dark room in the archives. Why is it there in that dark room? The Museum’s answer is that pastels have to be kept in the dark. Tell that to the Getty Museum in Anaheim, California where a pastel painting by the same artist…Maurice de la Tour hangs…for all the world to see.

Can you see that painting? The same one that was shipped from Broglie’s house to London? It’s in the British Museum. You’ll have to give several days notice and say why you want to see it. Will they really bring it out? Try. (Let me know if anyone out there in blog-land sees it).

King Louis 15th slept well knowing he wouldn’t be forced into yet another fight with England.

The Queen mom slept well knowing the line of succession would continue and that lunacy that had plagued the English Royal family for years had stopped.

The Chevalier d’Eon was made to wear the dress of a woman for the rest of his life. A small price to pay.

Of course.

The story the English Crown doesn't want you to know.....and still doesn't

It’s the story the English Crown didn’t want told….and still doesn’t.

It’s the untold story of Le Chevalier d’Eon.

Most of Europe knew that King George 3rd of England was, as some historians politely put it, “unable” to father a child.

It was the Amsterdam newspaper of March 31, 1763 which first broke the news that it was the French Ambassador, le Chevalier d’Eon who fathered the children of England’s Queen Charlotte.

It’s a story that answers the question why the English Royal family’s generational curse of lunacy suddenly stopped cold. (more…)
